Aaron Holloman

d. December 23, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Aaron Holloman announce the loss of their only brother on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the age of 61.  Aaron was born in Chicago, Illinois, moving to Gurnee in 1963 and a graduate of Warren Township High School, class of 1980.  His love for travelling began with the National Outdoor Leadership school in Kenya, South Africa in 1984 and on to Operation Raleigh in Cairns, Australia in 1986.  Aaron earned his LPN in 1990 and an RN/Associates of Science degree from Brevard Community College in Coco Beach, Florida in 1994.  His success continued as he travelled the United States specializing in oncology, working in 24 different hospitals helping cancer patients across our country.  Having a passion for beach life, most of his assignments were ocean views.  He was an avid swimmer who loved to ski from a very young age and prided himself on teaching the generations that followed.  Aaron loved all sports, especially the baseball games with the park Walers.

Aaron loved the fact that he was the only boy with four sisters and had 22 nieces and nephews.  He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor.  Survived by his loving siblings Diana (Lon) Steele, Pam (Van) Mathews, and Andrea Herron.  Forever remembered by nieces and nephews Stacey (Darren), Lisa, Lon Jr., Trista (Roy), Erik, Victoria (Damian), Adam, Van Jr., Adrienne, Amber, Anthony Sr., and Alyssa; great nieces and nephews Isabel, Mia, Grace, Jordan, Taylor, Jamie, Anthony Jr., Eloise, Arthur, and Xavier; and one great-great-nephew Noah.  He leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Preceded in death, Aaron has embraced our mother Rita Holloman, sister Monica Hanson, brother-in-law Steve Herron, and great nephew Jacob Neuses as he enters eternal rest.

Please join the family for a memorial service at St. Patrick's Church 15000 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL 60083 on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  Visitation will run from 9:30 until mass, which starts promptly at 10:30.

In lieu of flowers, Aaron's family request donations in his memory be directed to the American Cancer Society
