Alexandria "Alex" Scarbro

Alexandria "Alex" Michelle Scarbro, 20, of Round Lake, formerly of Grayslake, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in McHenry. She was born on October 15, 1992 in Chicago at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She is survived by her father, David Scarbro; mother, Maggie (Cedric Frison) Edwards; sister, Jillonda Edwards; paternal grandmother, Margaret (Louis) Bassett; maternal grandmother, Pearlie Anderson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, especially her "Fab 4", Rebekah Llorens, Madison Miller, Kathryn Dickson, and her coaches, Keith Llorens, Steve Ikenn, Keri Carollo, Dennis Kessel and Terry Miller; also to anyone who has ever been a basketball teammate or coach. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Moses Anderson and sister, Sheronda Edwards. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 3-8pm at Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee, IL 60031. Funeral services will take place, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10am with one hour of visitation prior to services at the church. Pastor Brandon Smith will officiate the funeral service. Burial will take place Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10am at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 4301 West Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162, (708)344-5600 (please meet at the cemetery). Memorial donations may be made to her family.
