Ann Portegys

Ann M. Portegys, 92, of Waukegan, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her home with her family at her side. She was born on January 6, 1917 in Chicago to the late Cazimir and Ona (nee Musalunis) Blozis. On December 30, 1950 in Grayslake at St. Gilbert's Church, Ann married John E. Portegys. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John; daughter, Mary Ann (Gregory) Bretzlauf and grandson, Harold Bretzlauf both of Grayslake. Ann was a life-long piano player. She and her husband loved to travel. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 3:00 pm with one hour of visitation prior to services at Warren Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Vitas Hospice in Lombard, IL.
