Barbara Jeanette Powell

Barbara ‘Jeanette’ Powell, 79, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 21, 1946, in Blossburg, Alabama. On September 2, 1967, Jeanette married the love of her life, Terry Lee Powell.

Jeanette is survived by her loving son Todd (Tami) Powell and her dear siblings Rod, Larry (Karol), and Harry Threadgill. She is a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many who will miss her deeply.

Throughout her life Jeanette had a strong relationship with Jesus and not a day went by without her showing this deep love to others. She enjoyed taking care of her family and loved ones, decorating her home with her exquisite taste and working in the yard as if she was a master gardener. Everyone saw her creative talent for making crafts and was a great stencil artist. Jeanette loved music and enjoyed dancing to her favorite songs.

She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Terry Lee Powell, her cherished daughter Renee Rochelle Powell, her dear brother Jay Threadgill, and her proud parents Ecford and Vernie Threadgill.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4PM - 8PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Interment will be private.
