Barbara was born July 11, 1938 in Waukegan, Illinois. She is the loving daughter of Max Roth and Alta Wallace Roth.
Barbara attended George Williams College in Chicago and the University of California, Los Angeles. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in Slavic studies with emphasis on Russian Literature.
Barbara is a beloved figure in the sport of parachuting and holds the title of 1968 Women's overall Parachute Champion at the U.S.Nationals.
Her favorite pastimes included attending the Parachuting Pioneers Reunions, traveling across the western states and Alaska to study wolf behavior, and writing poetry.
Religion played a very important role in her life and she converted to Russian Orthodox in 1980.
Barbara was the wife of Jerry Roquemore, mother of D'aun Lopez, mother-in-law of Raul Lopez, sister of Jon Roth, sister-in-law of Dolly Roth, grandmother of Sara Zimmerman, Casey Lopez, Viola Lopez, Sam Lopez, Kyle Garcia, Raul Lopez, Aunt to Jonnie Roth, Bobbie Roth and Rochelle (Cricket) Welch. She has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, too many to name.
She will be remembered for her strong faith, adventurous spirt, kindness and strong will.
