Carol Maloney

Carol Maloney (nee Trankina), age 80, passed away on March 22, 2021.  Born in Chicago and a long-time resident of Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Phoenix, AZ, she is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Marie (Battaglia) Trankina and dozens of beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in the extended Trankina and Battaglia families.

Carol is survived by her children Bill (Linda) Maloney, Kelly (Erik) Cottrell, Tom (Mariana) Maloney and Jim (Gail) Maloney, 9 grandchildren, Amanda, Natalie, Katie, Alec, Will, Megan, Quin, Nico, Jake and three great-grandchildren.

A family service will take place in the fall when travel is safe again.  The family would like to thank Transitions Hospice for the support and care they provided.  If desired, donations can be made to a hospice organization, of your choice, in Carol’s name.
