Carol Metcalf

Carol Lynn Metcalf, 79, of Paddock Lake, WI formerly of Gurnee, IL and Kenosha, WI, passed away February 12, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. She was born July 10, 1936 in Waukegan to the late Edward and Mayme (Luka) Metcalf. Carol owned and operated Aladdin Flower Shop in Waukegan for many years, and was an active member in FTD and many Florist Associations. She was a founding member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee. Carol was a kind, loving person, had a good heart and soul, loved her cats and Shih Tzus that passed away, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her dear cousin, friend and caregiver, Kathleen and Jim McGrath; numerous cousins; Godmother to Cindy Stooksbury, Wally Hodnik, and Keith Pauke; many dear friends, including Judie and the late Chuck Altman and family, and her bird, BB. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11am with visitation from 10am-11am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL with Fr. James Merold officiating.
