Charles Joseph Lento 85 of Lake Bluff, IL passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.
He was born October 3, 1932 in Kenosha, Wisconsin and he retired from American Motors in Kenosha in 1972 after 30 years of employment. After retiring from American Motors, he went to work for the Vernon Hills School District for 12 years. He also loved to tend bar at various bars in Kenosha. At one time, he owned a bar with his brother in law called Chuck & Dicks for 5 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the U.S. Marine Corp.
Chuck is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Daniel) McGovern of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Diana (Jeff) Werwie of Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin, and Deena (Rick) Leys of Kenosha, Wisconsin and loving companion Mary McDermand of Lake Bluff, IL, 11 grandchildren Brett, Corey, Kyle, Chad, Jason, Lisa, Adam, Matthew, Ryan, Heather and Steven as well as 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wives Audrey 2014 & Faye in 2013, 2 sisters, Mary Ruffalo and Millie Whitney, and 1 brother John Lento.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M.-12:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Fr. James E. Merold will be officiating.
Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery.
