Col. Close

Col. Ephraim F. Close, 87, of Gurnee, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at home with his loving wife of 19 years, Meifa L. Close. He was born on April 20, 1926 in Parsons, West Virginia to the late Carl and Muriel (nee Swartz) Close. Ephraim was a retired Col. serving in the United States Army. He will be deeply missed by his wife and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee with one hour of visitation prior to services at the funeral home. Pastor Jung-Wen Ho from Evangelical Formosan Church in Chicago will officiate the services. An Army Military Service will follow at the Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
