Daniel Basil Porter

Dan Porter, 71, born on September 17, 1954, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2026 surrounded by his beloved wife and loving family.

His family was his happiness and joy. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Dan was an avid builder, hockey player, golfer, fisherman, hunter, and all around sportsman. He had a lot of charisma. People were drawn to him.

Those that met him, were sure to remember him. It seemed evident he had an effect on everyone he crossed paths with. What can we say, you don't forget this man, and we never will.

In the wake of his passing, we strive to carry on his loving legacy.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 2PM-6PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. The funeral service will then begin at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
