Darrell Iwema

Darrell L. Iwema, 47, of Gurnee, lost his life to a year long, courageous battle with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was born on February 29, 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Darrell graduated from Warren High School in 1986, then in 1990 from Northern Illinois University with a Marketing Degree. He worked in various positions over the years at Dealer Track Technologies in Illinois and California. His hobbies included golfing and landscaping. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Diane (Ippel) Iwema; brother, Kent (Sherri) Iwema and sister, Cheryl (Eric) Dorobek; a dedicated uncle to Kaleen Iwema, Connor Iwema, Cole Iwema, Jessica Dorobek, Joshua Dorobek , whom he supported in their sports, especially football, and his pet, Kaia. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Rodney Iwema. A celebration of life visitation and a light lunch will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee.
