David Greenup

David Greenup, 66, of Gurnee passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at home. He was born June 24, 1955 in Chicago to Delmas Greenup and Lillian Mathys.

David loved his career in real estate and worked in the profession for over 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid golf player, a Tiger Woods fan,  enjoyed old cars, was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and was very proud of his Irish and Indian heritage.

He is survived by his significant other Margaret Drobinski; children: Katherine Lynn (Jason Wells) Greenup, Eric David (Ana) Greenup, Hanan Abusoud and Danya Abusoud; grandchildren: Evelynn Wells, Liam David Greenup; sister Diane (Dennis) Greenup-Williams; brother Michael (Sherry) Mathys.

He is preceded in death by his father Delmas Gene (Martha) Greenup, his mother Lillian (Robert) Mathys, and his brother Howard Greenup.

A visitation will be held from 3 pm until 7 pm on Monday, December 27 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 28 from 9 am until 11 am. Entombment in Warren Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
