David L. Ogawa

David Lindsey Ogawa, 71, of Gurnee, IL, passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2026, at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville.

Born in 1954, in Chicago, David grew up and lived on the city's north side and graduated from Lane Tech. After marriage to Susan, he lived in Chicago, Arlington Heights, and finally in Gurnee for the past 30 years.

He graduated from the DeVry Institute of Technology and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management with an MBA in 1995. He worked at Marshall Field (where he met Susan), EDS, Freddie Mac, Kraft Foodservice, and U.S. Foods.

David enjoyed working with computers, caring for his cats and the outdoor wildlife near his home, and walks in the forest preserve.

He is survived by his wife Susan (nee LaClair), brother Timothy (May) Ogawa, niece Kimberly (Joe), nephew Kevin (Staci), and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Terry and Masae Ogawa.

Visitation will be held on April 16th, 2026, from 12:00-2:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL 60031.
