David Piat

David Walter Piat, 59, of Wichita, KS passed away on October 4, 2014.

Dave was born to Walter and Gladys Piat on April 28, 1955 in Waukegan, IL and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1973. His love for numbers led to a degree in Accounting from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio and a career in accounting. His love for God led to his lifelong involvement with the Christian faith. Dave also loved baseball. He played on teams from his childhood on and later coached his son's teams.

Dave a precious child of God, loving husband, father, son and brother. is survived by his wife Jane (Swedlund) of 25 years, sons Daniel and Jonathan Piat of Wichita, KS, Mother Gladys Piat of Zion, IL, brother Vince (Cheri) Piat of Gurnee, IL, brother Mike Piat of Waukegan, IL, Aunts Dolores and Ione Riedel and Adele Gilpin of Lake Villa, IL, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Piat as well as several loving aunts and uncles.

Dave was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Dave's life will take place Saturday, October 11, 2014, 11:00 am. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Location is the Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Burial at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
