Deanna Therese Roberts

Deanna Therese Roberts nee DeSchryver, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026. She is survived by her beloved daughters Stacy (Paul) Ambrosini and Jennifer (Dean Leo) Richardson; her precious grandchildren Paige Richardson and Nicholas Ambrosini; her dear brother Steve (Joyce) DeSchryver; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in passing and joins in Heaven her beloved husband W. Lee Roberts, her parents Gaston and Carol DeSchryver; and her dear sister Lorraine and brother-in-law George Tomich.

Deanna was an avid sports fan and softball player. She loved being a 4th grade teacher, her coworkers and students brought her immense joy. So much so that she never thought about teaching as “going to work” but as the joy of “going to school”.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 9AM-11AM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 11AM, followed by inurnment at Warren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deanna’s name to Reading Power in Lake Bluff or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
