Donald Massimo

Donald F. "Dino" Massimo, 87, of Beach Park, passed away August 29, 2015 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born on February 4, 1928 in Johnstown, PA. He married Ann Ptasienski on October 28, 1967 in Waukegan. Donald was the owner/operator of D & S Appliances in Beach Park for many years where he repaired washers and dryers. He enjoyed gardening, fixing things, working in his workshop, making alcohol, especially wine and Limoncello. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 47 years, Ann C. Massimo; children, Skip Massimo, Dan (Jan) Massimo, Dave Massimo, Diane (Al) Flores, Dean (Bobbie) Scanlon, Tracy Jesperson, Tammy (Jeff) Henning and Terry (Bob) McIntire; brother, Carl "Kayo" Massimo; sister, Clara Blough; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Liberta Massimo; brothers, Albert Primavera, Dominic Massimo, Ernie Massimo and Nello Massimo; sister, Mae Primavera Bennett. Visitation is Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5-9pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
