Donald Moore

Donald Bruce Moore, age 79, passed away on 29 October 2017 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, Illinois. Bruce was born to the late Donald and Esther (Twaddell) Moore on 25 March 1938 in Dayton, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ken, who passed away in 2014.

Surviving Bruce is his wife Judith L. (Patterson) Moore, his siblings Marianna Jordan, Alan Moore, and Brian Moore, his four children, Laura Pennell, Jeff Moore, Sean Moore, and Paula Akinola, 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bruce served in the United States Navy as an electronics technician and as a crypto technician maintenance chief from 1961 - 1981 and retired honorably at the rank of Chief (E7). He went on to serve as a Basic Electronics Instructor at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and attended Living Waters Assembly of God, Grayslake, Illinois. He was a member of the American Legion Post #865.

Services for Bruce will be on Monday, 6 November 2017 at Living Waters Assembly of God, 525 N. Atkinson Rd., Grayslake, Illinois 60030. Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Bruce's life starting with 1st Visitation on Sunday, 5 November from 5pm - 8pm at Living Waters Assembly of God. 2nd Visitation is on Monday, 6 November beginning at 10am until service begins at 11am. Services will be presided over by Pastor Rich Valkanet. Interment will be at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, 1495 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, Illinois 60031.
