Doreen Quist

Doreen E. A. Quist, 79, of Wildwood, Illinois, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Doreen is predeceased by her late husband of 50 years, John Wesley Quist of Grayslake, Illinois; her parents and two brothers, Henry Ruchti and James Ruchti.

She was born Doreen Elizabeth Ann Ruchti in Zion, Illinois to Herman Ruchti and Eva Kerr Ruchti on August 3, 1933.

Doreen was a homemaker living with her husband and two children in Wildwood, Illinois. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.
She loved being close to her family and enjoyed gardening, reading, word search, playing card games, sports of all kinds and especially loved watching the Olympics.

She is survived by her son, Wesley Quist and his wife, Barbi, her daughter, Cheryl and her fiance', John C. Sawa III; grandchildren, Josh Quist, Shawn (Stephanie) Quist, Timothy Quist and Ashley (Paul) Record; great grandchildren, Rylan Ingram, Aiden Quist, Nicholas Quist and Peyton Record.

At her request no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee, Illinois.
