Francis "Frank" A. Demonte

The story of Francis “Frank” A. Demonte, age 77, ended with his passing on September 17, 2023. Never someone to let a good story go to waste, whether true or not, Frank had many adventures worthy of being shared. From his time growing up in Chicago in his (somewhat) misspent youth balanced with assisting in supporting his family there was always a new anecdote. He went on to explore the world through travel while earning his Bachelor's Degree, including a year spent at Loyola’s Rome campus. The next steps of his journey included meeting his future wife Trish when working in the early days of computing, marriage and starting a family. Never one to slow down, he continued to travel with his wife and family and was always up for a trip whether long such as Minnesota, Las Vegas, Hawaii, or Japan, or short to a venue to listen to music, attend a sporting event, or to experience a new restaurant. Regular gatherings with family were a source of joy to Frank and, of course, an opportunity to tell stories both new and old.

Frank was the beloved husband of 51 years to Patricia “Trish” Demonte. Loving father of Tony (Kelli) DeMonte, Emily (Randy) Taub, and Bill (Colette) Demonte. Proud grandfather of Aiden, Luca, Elise, Nicholas, Dahlia, Atticus, and the late Daniel Clavette. Cherished son of the late Vito and Nancy De Monte. Dear brother of Joe (Diane) DeMonte, Rita (John) Olsen, Rosetta (Paul) Wiltgen, and the late Rosemary (Larry) Hulina. Cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend to many who will miss him.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5PM-8PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL 60031. Funeral service will be held at Warren Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, at 11:30AM, friends and family may gather beginning at 10:30AM. The service can be viewed live or recorded here. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s name to Child Fund International or the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Frank’s story may have ended, but the stories he told will live on.
