Frederick Dietmeyer II, 68 a lifelong resident of Waukegan, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

He was born on February 20, 1950 to Richard & Thelma Dietmeyer in Waukegan, IL. Fred graduated from Waukegan High School in 1968. He loved working in his yard, especially gardening, mountain bike riding, an avid sports fan including the Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks. Fred was a very serious sports memorabilia collector, but he really enjoyed collecting anything from the Milwaukee Braves. His favorite time was spent with his cats and his grandson Elias.

Fred is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Dietmeyer and Brie Dietmeyer, his mother Thelma Dietmeyer, his grandson, Elias Dietmeyer, his siblings, Barbara Balberg, Cheryl (Jim) Stewart and Steve (Tina) Dietmeyer, nephews, Brad Dietmeyer and Jacob (Colleen) Dietmeyer and niece Elle (Scott) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Dietmeyer.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Services will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
