Fredonia Wright

Fredonia Wright, 94, of Beach Park passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.  She was born on September 2, 1924 to the late Samuel Sr. and Etta (Gates) Davis in Chicago, IL.  Fredonia married Reginald Wright Sr. and to this union had eight children.  He preceded her in death on August 14, 1985.

Fredonia was a member of St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church in Chicago.  She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family/friends, writing, drawing, praying, and socializing.  She loved engaging in art related activities and social events during her time at The Grove at the Lake in Zion, IL.

Fredonia is survived by children; Carole, Mary, Marvin, Loretta, Lana, and Gerry, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, her sons Charles Jr. and Mickey, her granddaughter Jaime, her siblings; Samuel “Buddy”, Mary, Theresa, and Richard.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11am on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL.  Funeral services will be at 11am on Friday at the funeral home.

Entombment will be at Warren Cemetery.
