Gregorio De Belen

Gregorio Pascual De Belen, 86, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL.

He was born on November 22, 1934 in the Philippines to Perfecto and Maria (Pascual) De Belen and went on to marry his wife, Maria.

Gregorio grew up on a farm in the Philippines and taught his children how to work the land alongside him.  When he came to the United States he continued his love of the outdoors and growing things through gardening.

Gregorio is survived by his son, Eduardo (Erlinda) De Belen, of Beach Park, IL, and his children in the Philippines, daughter, Luisa Victoria, and sons, Miguel (Annie) De Belen and Agustin (Imelda) De Belen; his grandchildren, Erwin (Lizbeth) De Belen, Edlyn (Jover) Diwa, Earle (AJ) Morales; his grandchildren in the Philippines, Syril, Sher Lyn, Sherwin, Wena, Lea, Tonton, Paolo, Imee, Reagan, and Carlos; great-grandchildren, Jolyn, and Kayleb, and many more in the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his siblings.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 beginning at 2 p.m., with the funeral service at 5 p.m., and visitation continuing until 7 p.m., at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with current State of Illinois mandates, all guests will be required to wear a face mask while in the funeral home.
