On Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, James Snowden, Jr. entered his eternal rest with the Lord.
Born on July 24, 1958, James lived a life marked by steadfast faith, a deep love for his family, and a genuine heart for encouraging others. For 42 years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his devoted wife, Tina Snowden, together creating a legacy built on love, devotion, and grace.
James never met a stranger; often times they became family. His warm spirit and larger-than-life personality left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Gifted with the ability to uplift and inspire, he embraced every opportunity to mentor, encourage, and minister to others. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a word of wisdom, lighting up a room with his booming laugh, or sending a morning TikTok video, James touched lives in ways that will be remembered forever.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, James cherished his family above all.He is survived by his children: Shauna Snowden, Javon McBride, Natosha Snowden, Raven Snowden, and Magan Snowden; his grandchildren: Sheona Little, Tyreik Kindle, and Eonna Gomiller; his siblings: Giselle (John) Jones, Mario (Cynthia) Snowden, Harlan (Phyllis) Snowden, Nathan Snowden and Jamar Snowden and a host of beloved God children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
James was known throughout his community for embracing every person who crossed his path with unconditional love. With open arms and a generous heart, he created a safe and nurturing space where others could learn, grow, and step into their fullest potential. His influence reached far beyond the walls of his home, touching the lives of many whom he guided and remained connected with as they journeyed through life. His mentorship shaped futures, and his legacy lives on through all who knew and loved him.
He joins in heaven his parents James Sr. and Lena Snowden, and his precious grandson Joseph Gomiller.
