James "Jim" Luka

James “Jim” Luka, 78, lifetime resident of Lake County, Illinois passed away on April 18, 2021 in Gurnee.  He retired from First Midwest Bank.  He enjoyed his garage sales, antiques, and his large collection of cookie jars.  He loved fixing lawn mowers and snow blowers.  He was an avid golfer having four career hole-in-ones.

He is survived by his children, Colleen (Al Pichl) Thompson and Jamie (Grace) Luka;  grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff) Courtney, April (Matt) Puskar, Jackie Luka, Joshua Luka, and Jacob Luka; great-granddaughters, Isabelle & Diana Puskar and many cousins and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Luka & Anne Stefanich in 1994, and a sister, Norma Jakimiak in 2014.

Memorial service will be held privately at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, Illinois.
