Jane Whiting

Jane C. Whiting, 91, of Waukegan, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL. She was born September 21, 1924 in Kenosha, WI to the late Clarence J. and Lucy (Acker) Cornwell. She married Roscoe Whiting in Medford, Oregon on September 25, 1947. Jane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints since 1961. She loved her cats, flowers, going to Door County in Wisconsin, and also enjoyed visiting the Chicago Botanic Garden. Jane is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy Whiting; grandchildren, Jason (Tanya) Lopez, Jesse (Lisa) Lopez, Veronica (Reynaldo Gonzalez) Lopez, and David Jones; great grandchildren, Ashley Lopez, Krystal Lopez, Bhrett Destree, Erika Lopez, Monique Lopez, Angelina Lopez, Madison Lopez, Sydney Yanez, Alyssa Lopez, Axel Arizmendi, and Evan Perez. She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband of 36 years who passed away in 1983, Roscoe Whiting. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2016 from 4-8 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10 am (meet at the church) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 411 N. O'Plaine Rd., Gurnee, IL. Burial will be private at Salem Mound Cemetery in Salem, WI. Memorial donations may be made to Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Rd., Glencoe, IL 60022 or the Anti-Cruelty Society, 157 W.
