Janice M. Howard

Janice M. Howard, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2024. Jan was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on August 21, 1942. She married the love of her life on November 15, 1969 in Taylorville, Illinois. Jan/Nana devoted her life to raising children and was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved the most. 

She is survived by her beloved daughter Laura (Scot) Wojcik and stepdaughter Claretta (the late James) Leidy; her cherished grandchildren Mason, Braden and step-grandchildren Brant, Kevin, and Heather; her dear siblings Judy (the late John) Ballew, Jim (Maryann) Theisler, and Jerry (Cathy) Theisler; her adored honorary grandchildren Danny, Ryan, Courtney, Marleigh, and Keegan; as well as precious nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband Charles “Char” Howard of 46 and ¾ years, her loving son Charles "Chuck" Howard, her dear siblings Norma Jean "Jeannie" (the late Mike) Roche and John "Butch" (survived by Dorothy) Theisler, and her proud parents John and Helen Theisler.

Friends and family will meet for visitation from 11:30AM-12:30PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. A Memorial Service in her remembrance will then begin at 12:30PM.
