Jeanette Swanson (nee Jackson), Born December 23, 1921 in Grayslake, IL
Died March 13, 2016. Attended school in Grayslake, graduated from Warren High School, Gurnee, IL 1940. Worked at A & P Food Store for 23 ½ years retiring 1982, also worked part time at Waukegan Schools in the cafeteria. Member of Svea Ladies of Viking, Waukegan Women's Bowling Association, Waukegan Woman's Club, Victory Hospital Volunteer, Clara Cummings Book Club, Bonnie Brook-Woman's 9 Hole golf league, Zion Shiloh Park 9 Hole golf league, Trinity Lutheran Church, Waukegan, IL, Women of the ELCA. She is survived by her daughter Barbra (Ed) Kastner of Waukegan, IL her daughter in law Carol Swanson (Butch) step-daughters, Carol Boslooper of AZ, Joanne Wallis (Charles) of Indianapolis, IN. Grandchildren: Brian (Ruth) Swanson, Milwaukee, WI and Amy of Milwaukee,WI. Step Grandchildren, Greg (Betsy) Wallis of IN, Lynn (Brian) Boak of IN, Krista (Kyle) Kaufmann of AZ. Step Great Grandchildren: Ethan & Daniel Wallis, Henry & Nathan Boak, Charles, Eleanor and Olivia Kaufmann. Also a sister Mary Jane Owen of FL. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Milburn (Swanee) Swanson in 1983, her 2nd husband Raymond Swanson in 1992 and her son Harold (Butch) Swanson in 2009, Parents Wallace & Anna Jackson, brother Kenneth Jackson sister Margaret Hall, sister Ann O'Quinn. Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Trinity United Lutheran Church 658 Grand Ave, Waukegan from 10 to 11 with services at 11. Burial will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Trinity United Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
