Jessie L. Barnes

Jesse L. Barnes was born on April 6, 1951 In Bobo, MS, in the heart of the Mississippi Delta to Joseph and Larine Climons. Jesse accepted Christ at a young age. Due to his strong work ethic, Jesse worked at Abbott Laboratories for over 30 years.

Jesse was a hard working man who cared for his family whom he loved dearly. Though he was strong willed and outspoken, he loved to take care of his family. He was a great husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Jesse and his family moved to Waukegan, IL in the 1960’s where he worked as a security officer then faithfully at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Illinois for over 30 years. In 1975, he married the love of his life, Renee Barnes (Williams) and although they did not have any children, they played a big part in raising their beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews. When you needed help, you could always count on Jesse and Renee to be there.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Jennifer Albear; Johnny Climons, Waukegan, IL, his siblings-in-law: Rose Williams North Chicago, IL, Louis Edward (Roberta) Williams Jr. Plainfield, IL, and Carol Holmes (Willie James) Kenosha, WI; his nephews and niece, Demontray (Lorrie) Williams Hainesville, IL, Devon Lane Zion, IL, Joshua Miller North Chicago, IL, Louis E. Williams III Bolingbrook, IL, Frank Williams Jr, Justin Williams, Michael Williams, Rondell Williams, Montel Williams Marcellus Williams, Tre’Sean Williams, and Shante Holloman (Lauren Figueroa), Deyonna Williams, Khadijah Haynes, and Special Friend Deborah Clark. He was cherished by his family, and friends, who will miss him deeply.

He joins in heaven: his beautiful wife Renee Barnes (Williams), his Parents Joseph and Larine Climons, Parent in laws Louis and Goldie Williams Sr, His Brother James Williams, Brother in laws, Frank Williams Sr, Meredith Williams, Sister in law Esther Miller, and Niece Janice Metcalf. Just like his mother Larine and his wife Renee, Jesse’'s life reminds us of the importance of family, resilience, and love that bridges generations. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire.
