Joseph Riley

Joseph E. Riley, 99, of Gurnee, passed away peacefully Friday, August 5, 2016 at The Terrace in Waukegan. He was born September 25, 1916 in Waukegan. Joseph was a loving husband, father and grandfather who survived to enjoy five generations in his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Riley; whom he married May 4, 1957 in Gurnee; children, Ronnie (Jill) Riley, Betty (James, Sr.) Svehla, Raymond (Linda) Tistle and Gerald (Darlene) Tistle; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Gladys Riley; son, Tommy Riley, and brothers and sisters. Funeral services are Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1310 N. Frolic Ave., Waukegan with Pastor Steven Radunzel officiating. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
