Kareena Johanna Cope

Kareena Johanna Cope, born on November 12, 2002, passed away on September 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and treasured memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Kareena was a beautiful soul whose radiant smile could brighten any room and whose laughter was contagious. She was deeply loved by her family and friends—not only for the joy she brought into their lives, but also for her kindness, compassion, and genuine warmth. She spoke of her Papa very frequently, and her family finds comfort in knowing that she is protected in his arms and will be laid to rest next to him.

Kareena adored her dogs, found comfort and adventure in the pages of a good book, and cherished the time she spent creating memories with her father, mother, and brother. She embraced life with a sense of wonder and found meaning in the simple moments that became lasting memories. The holidays held a special place in her heart, bringing her particular happiness through cherished traditions, togetherness, and the love she shared with those closest to her.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Mona (Hari) Cope; her father, Michael Cope Jr.; her brother, Ajay Cope; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Kareena was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael John Cope Sr., her grandmother, Frances Auguste Johnson; and her grandfather Gurdip Singh Hari.

Though Kareena’s life was far too short, the love and happiness she gave to others will never fade. Her warmth will live on in every smile she inspired, her joy in every cherished gathering, and her spirit in the hearts of all who loved her. She was truly loved by so many, and she will never be forgotten.

In leu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kareena’s name. The family plans to use these contributions in a meaningful way to honor Kareena’s life and memory. Friends and family will meet for visitation on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 10:30AM-12:30PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL 60031. The funeral service will begin at 12:30PM, followed by interment at Warren Cemetery.
