Kyle Kabela

Kyle John Stewart Kabela, born April 8, 2009, infant son of Gwen (nee Nelson) and Kevin Kabela of Grayslake, passed away May 1, 2009 of N.E.C. at Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge surrounded by his loving family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother, "Jack" James Patrick Nelson Kabela, paternal grandparents, Dennis and Nanjean Kabela, maternal grandmother, Patricia Lahey (John Lumley) and maternal grandfather, James Nelson, aunts, Denise (Dennis) Martinez and Kimberly Kabela. He was also loved by many great-aunts and uncles , cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmothers, Norma Nelson and Dorothy Rapacz, great-uncles, John Nelson, Gerald Bieneman, Grant Philipp, John Bieneman and Gerald Nelson, paternal great-grandparents, Peter and Lorraine Geiken, Fredrick and Rose Kabela and great-great aunt, Marian Lowe. The family received friends on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 4-8 pm at Warren Funeral Home, Gurnee, IL. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10am at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kyle's name to the March of Dimes in hopes that a cure will be found for N.E.C. and spare other families from the devastating loss of a child.
