Linda Swanson

Linda Swanson (nee Stefanowski), of Waukegan, IL passed away on September 26, 2016. Linda was born November 13, 1945 to Frederick James Stefanowski, Sr. and Johanna Stefanowski (nee Roper). Through the years she worked in Retail and in Childcare at Great Lakes Naval Base. She loved babies and frequently dressed up as Cat in the Hat from Dr. Seuss for them. Survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles O. Swanson of Waukegan, daughter, Tammy (Gurney) Hightower of Winthrop Harbor, son, David (Melissa) Swanson of Winthrop Harbor, nine grandchildren, Michael Chase of Kenosha, WI, Samantha (Robert) Velez of Kenosha, WI, Ariana, Dominic, Maxwell Swanson all of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Jesse, Angel, Marielena and Adam Aranda all of Waukegan, IL, one great granddaughter, Jayla Chase of Kenosha, WI, three brothers, Frederick Stefanowski, Jr. of Melrose Park, IL, Robert Stefanowski of Waukegan, IL, and Dennis (Pam) Stefanowski of Wadsworth, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at North Point Church, 900 Lewis Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096. Memorial services will take place at the church following the visitation from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Interment will be private at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee, IL.
