Lorraine Kwit

Lorraine Kwit, 94, passed away in Oak Park, IL on Friday, July 8, 2022.  She was born on January 21, 1928 to Anton and Sophie Kwit (nee Bednarczyk) in Chicago, IL.

Throughout her life, Lorraine loved many things, including all children and paying particular to her nieces and nephews.  Over the years she adored her pets, including her cats Checkers, Chess, and Smokey, and her family dog Cubby.  In her spare time Lorraine was a television fan, avidly watching mysteries, games shows, soap operas, and her personal favorite, Shark Tank.

Lorraine will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for her sense of humor and how she deeply cherished family time.

Lorraine is survived by her niece Donna (Simon) Varnas and their children Christina and Brendan Varnas, and her godson Keith Kobiela.

She was preceded in death by her parents; bothers, Tony (Tillie) Kwit, Joe (Mary) Kwit, Frank (Casmira) Kwit, and John (Marge) Kwit; her sisters, Sophie (Joe) Rezetko, Rose (Connie) Jasek, Phyllis (Ludwig) Van Duch, and Helen Kwit; along with her closest friend Barbara Kobiela and Bobby Kobiela.

At the request of the family, services will be private.
