Louie Hunt Jr

July 13, 1944 — October 27, 2017

Elder Louie John Hunt Jr., husband, father, grandfather, pastor, veteran, and lover of God transitioned to his eternal home, Friday October 27th 2017. Louie J Hunt was born July 13th 1944 in Waco Texas to parents Louie J Hunt Sr. and Lola Bell Jones who preceded him in death to life.

Louie graduated from A J Moore High School in 1961 where he met the love of his life Carolyn Kaye King. Louie joined the United States Air Force in 1962 and retiring as a MSGT in 1985. Over his 22 plus year military career, "Lou" as his soulmate Carolyn Kaye affectionately called him earned a number of honors and awards including the Meritorious Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, for exemplarily service for the Office of Special investigation (OSI). After heroic service to his country Louie was hired as Director of Human Resources for MCI, retiring in 1995.

As a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel, Louie answered yet another call to serve, when God called him to establish and found Faith Fellowship Community Church Center, Inc. affectionately known as F.F.C.C.C in Waukegan Il in 1995. God prophetically instituted this ministry "calling it forth out of the need to harvest souls unto Him and provide a refuge for believers in need of a place of comfort." Pastor Lou once shared, "this is my greatest and final calling I am fully persuaded to serve the Lord and his people until he calls me home" and that he did for over 20 plus years. His calling still speaks through the many members and converts of this ministry trained by Pastor Lou who now serve as Pastors, ministry directors, teachers, musicians and other leadership roles.

Lou was many things in life among least was a fisherman, he could be seen in his downtime somewhere around a fishing hole catching fish but always a fisher of men. Finishing the many life's chores assigned to him, Lou put out to sea, a rod in one hand and Heaven on the horizon, and a view of eternity.

He leaves ashore to cherish his memory, his loving wife Carolyn Kaye King Hunt, his dutiful sons Roderick L. Hunt (Doreen), and Michael D Hunt. His doting mother-in-law Vera Gamble, grandchildren, Joshua Leuthmers (Laura), TaShawn Griffith, Arianna Kaye Hunt, Madisyn Kaye Hunt, Victoria Eve Hunt, Samantha Diamond Hunt, great grandchildren Devyn, Kenyon, Keylon, Mya, and Isaiah, special daughters Dean Lampkin, and Shevon Peet, and bonus grandchildren Shiloh Lampkin & Master Seth, his FFCCC family past and present plus a host of family members and friends.
