Marcia Lee Banks

Marcia Lee Banks was a loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt, sister and best friend to many and all who met her.

Marci left this world, surrounded by her children and husband of 35 years, on October 19th, 2023 at the age of 56 following a 10 year courageous battle with breast cancer.

Marci was born to William and Dorothy May in Munster, IN on November 18th 1966 where she was raised with her sisters Sharon and Cari. 

Marci is survived by the loves of her life, husband John, children Brianna and Tyler, and her grandson Rockwell who was undeniably her best buddy.

Prior to her sickness, Marci spent her time traveling the world in the trade show industry, managing the design, build, and operation of show floor booths for some the world's top brands. She excelled in managing the chaos and driving her team of beloved coworkers to pursue excellence.

Throughout the years she also worked with a series of non-profit organizations raising money and planning events for homeless families and runaway youth. She truly loved this work!

Marci gave effortless love, compassion, time, and understanding to all. She managed to make everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world; and to Marci they were. Her endless loving heart and giving nature will be missed but will continue in all of us that have been touched by her.

Marci will be honored on November 18th, 2023with a celebration of life gathering at Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove IL from 3 - 6 pm.
