Maria Rosario Medina, 79 of Waukegan passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at her home in Waukegan.
She was born March 23, 1939 in Monterrey, Mexico and married Jose Medina on February 23, 1976. She retired from Cherry Electric in Waukegan where she worked in production. She loved to read especially magazines but most of all she loved being home and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jose, one son, Jose R. Medina of Kenosha, WI, two grandchildren Anthony Ricardo Medina and Edith Angelica Medina, two sisters, Ceilia Saavedar of Kenosha, WI and Martha Martinez of Monterrey, Mexico.
She was preceded by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL from 5-8pm and Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9-10 A.M. At Most Blessed Trinity Church (Immaculate Conception Church) 508 Grand Ave., Waukegan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. with burial to follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee.
The family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
