Marilyn Carberry

Marilyn Grace Carberry, 93 years old. She lived in Lake Villa, Illinois for many years before moving to Culpeper, Virginia in 2016 where she peacefully passed away in her home on May 5, 2025.

She was born on September 21, 1931 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to Lawrence and Grace Sahs.

Marilyn is preceded in passing by her husband of 63 years Abner Carberry; her parents Lawrence and Grace Sahs; and her brother Lawrence "Larry" Sahs.

She is survived by her four children Merl (Barbara) Carberry, Linda Kiszonas, Richard Carberry, and Sharon (Ed) Ahrens; nine grandchildren Heather Lorenzen, Scott Carberry, Katie Smith, William Kiszonas, Therese Kiszonas, Elizabeth (Tim) Wiltbereger, Angela (Randy) Yearton, Elaine (Spencer) Ahrens, and Natalie (Kevin) Walat; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends that will miss her deeply.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL from 11:30AM-12PM and the funeral service will take place at 12PM. Interment to follow at St. Luke Cemetery, 5300 Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60630 to follow.
