Marita Richey

Marita L. Richey/Sample, 68, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Glenlake Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waukegan. She was born on October 18, 1948 in Cedar Rapide, IA to Effie M. Drafahl and Claude W. Sample. She married William M. Richey. Her latest work was at Walmart store as a retail associate. Marita is survived by her sister: Sherry Blankenship of Adams, WI and her half brother: Bill Spicer of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, 3-brothers, and 3-sisters.
Rita was carefree and hilariously funny. She was very kind and had a big heart helping friends, neighbors, and co-workers. She courageously and fearlessly faced cancer, fighting until the very last end.
Rita, rest in peace! We will always remember your smiling face.
