Mark Zblewski

June 21, 1959 — February 21, 2016

Mark Kevin Zblewski entered heaven on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Rainbow Hospice Ark, Park Ridge, IL. He was born on Father's Day, June 21, 1959, to Roman and Dolores (Kurzsewski) Zblewski in Stevens Point, WI. Mark worked on the family farm (milking cows before school, picking rocks, baling hay, cleaning the barn, feeding cows, along with other farm duties). He played football and baseball at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School and graduated in 1977. His first job was with Gronski Implement in downtown Hatley, WI. Mark attended tech schools for welding and truck driving. He married Janice Dallman on June 6, 1981, and lived in South Carolina for 5 years before settling into their current home in Gurnee, IL. Mark loved developing the athletic abilities of all three kids and watching them compete. He drove semi for several companies: cross country and most recently, 28 years at Conway Freight. Favorite things to do over the years included hunting white tail deer with his gang in WI, snowmobiling, ice and lake fishing, playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packers. He had a deep love for his parents and family members. He worked extremely hard and enjoyed his free time to the max by dancing and singing his favorite song, "You Don't Have to Call Me Darlin'" by David Allan Coe! After a sudden illness, he underwent surgery on Father's Day, his 56th birthday, which began his journey of hospitalization at multiple locations until he entered heaven exactly 8 months to the day of his June surgery. Our hearts are broken and he will be deeply missed. Survivors include wife, Jan and three children, Zachary, Stephanie, and Nick; parents Roman & Dolores, Birnamwood; 3 brothers Daryl (Patti) Zblewski, Eland; Keith (Darci) Zblewski, Rochester, MN; Dean (Kathy) Zblewski, Hatley; and sister Cheryl (Jon) Giguere, DePere; and in-laws Lorraine, Jerry, Dale, Tom (Tammy) Dallman; Sharon Kline, all from Hatley. Nieces and nephews: Sara (Joe) Emilee & Lily Leonard; Caleb (Cassie) Zblewski; Lindsey (Erik), Justin (Abby) & Matthew Giguere; Alissa, Payton, Calvin, Haley, Chelsea Zblewski; Andy (Rocio), Anna, Mason Dallman; Tracy (Edgar), Cash Arreola; Amy, Micaila and Christopher Kline. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bernard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 4-8 pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11 am with visitation from 10-11am (all at the church) at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee. Another funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday, February 27, 2016, at St. Florian's Catholic Church, Hatley, Wisconsin where Rev. Greg Bohren will preside. Friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 am until the time of services at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Mark's family c/o his wife, Jan Zblewski, would be greatly appreciated.
