Michael Carlton

Michael Shawn Carlton, 51, passed away on June 5, 2024. He is survived by his precious children Michaela & Shawn Carlton; his dear former partner Amanda Carlton; his loving mother Mariann Carlton; his brother Patrick (Celena) Carlton; his nieces and nephews Katti, Cheyanne, Nathan, and Zack; as well as many friends, cousins, and loved ones. He was preceded in passing by his beloved father, Ronald Carlton.

While Michael was a man with a sordid past, during the last few years of his life he spent much of his time truly getting to know his inner self, and spending time reestablishing his relationship with God. This led to many heart felt talks with those he held dear, and healed many deep soul wounds within those relationships. Most importantly it changed the way in which he viewed himself. He no longer felt broken beyond repair.

Michael was a grateful man, and grew to be a patient one as well. He loved deeply, and without hesitation, regardless of the situation. He was a social butterfly- goofy and lighthearted- and often he went out of his way to engage with strangers just to brighten their day with conversation, even if he was embarrassing in the process. (That only added to his amusement.)

His pride and joy (outside of his children) was his Rottweiler- Trina, who will now be loved equally as much by a family friend with a farm, where she will have many acres to run and play.

While Michael will be missed dearly by those who loved him, it is important to note he never wanted them to suffer through mourning. He saw his life as a celebration, and wanted his passing to be no different. So, for now, his parting words to us all are "Roll On".
