Michael Cope

Michael John Cope, Sr., 70, of Gages Lake, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Skokie Hospital. He was born November 3, 1945 in Chicago. Michael was the most amazing, loving, caring father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He loved his cabin on the lake and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his loving children, Dawn (Daniel) Bubel, Tracie (Andy) Kiefer, Michael (Mona) Cope, Jr. and Andrea Krueger; grandchildren, Alyson, Alex, Tyler, Josh, Madison, Savannah, Andrew, Emily, Cassie, Kelsey, Kareena, Parker, Brady, Riley, Ajay and Chase; great grandchildren, Sophie and Levi; sister, Carolyn Stough; nieces, Sandra and Janet; nephew, Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hilma (Saukko) Cope and brother-in-law, Sidney Stough. Visitation is Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4pm-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Davick officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
