Rick Bronswick

October 24, 1968 — February 16, 2024

Antioch

Richard "Rick" Bronswick, 55, of Antioch, passed away February 16, 2024.

Rick was born October 24, 1968 to Jordan and Sharron Bronswick, the middle of three children.  As a child, he was a born performer, always going for the laugh if he could.  From his sharp sense of humour to "Magic by Ricky," he could be depended on to keep his friends and family entertained.  As an adult, he kept that love of the show as a passionate karaoke enthusiast.  In addition to singing, he was an avid mixed martial artist and body builder, all three hobbies well-complemented by his adoration of 80s hits.  After graduating from Glenbrook North High school in 1986, he attended the College of Lake County, achieving his Associate's degree.

While Rick had a number of jobs over his professional life, including as a cardiac technician and working for Abbvie, his true career and calling was as a dad.  He put his active lifestyle, love of the outdoors, and fit physique to work bringing up and keeping up with his two children, whom anyone who saw him in that element immediately knew he loved more than anything else in the world.

Rick goes to join his grandparents, Louie and Rose Bronswick and Albert and Belle Mann.

He leaves behind the family he built with his wife Mary: his children Emily and Jake, and their dog Daisy.  His memory is also cherished by his parents Jordan and Sharron, brother Jeff (Karin) Bronswick, and sister Amy Bronswick, nieces Julia Bronswick and Claire Rom, nephew George Rom, father-in-law Dave Rom, brother-in-law Joe (Joy) Rom, and many aunts and cousins.

Interment and services will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, Rick's family encourages donations to your local dog rescue, or any other charitable cause near to your heart.
