Richard Craten

Richard James Craten, 81, formerly of Joliet, passed away May 6, 2015 at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. He was born July 3, 1933 in Harvard, IL. He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Joyce) Craten of Fallston, Maryland; sister-in-law, Jennie Craten; nieces and nephews, Robert Craten, Jr., Daniel (Sherri) Craten, Laura (Myron) Richards, Paul (JoAnn) Craten, Timothy Craten, Sean Craten, Deborah (Charles) Dawson and Patricia (Mark) Congdon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjory (Witt) Craten and brother, Robert Craten, Sr. Richard was a United States Army Veteran. Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10:30am at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421, (815) 423-9958.
