Richard Janis

Richard Janis, age 78, proud Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. He is survived by his former wife of 25 years Barbara Janis, his stepbrother Alan (Heather) Busch, his former sisters-in-law Margaret Stephan, Mary Yurkiw (the late Gregory and the late Harvey Melarkey), and Virginia Scott and his former brother-in-law Robert O'Neill (Diane), and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply.

He is preceded in passing and joins in Heaven his mother Lillian Busch, his grandmother, his stepfather Alan Busch, and his stepbrother Ronald Busch.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 10:30AM-12:30PM at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. The funeral service will begin at 12:30PM, followed by interment at Warren Cemetery.
