Richard Munson

Richard John Munson, 59, of Zion, passed away July 13, 2015 at Evanston Hospital. He was born August 2, 1955 in Waukegan. On September 28, 1974 in Waukegan, Dick married the love of his life, Susan D. Wilson. Dick loved hunting, fishing and was a Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts of America. He was a jack of all trades, master of none. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan D. Munson; children, Lisa A. (Jeff) Parrish, Michael W. Munson, Richard W. (Lynnde) Munson, Mary A. (Ken) Iles, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Lowe, Haley Rea, Jillian J. Munson, William R. H. Munson, Erin M. Munson, Roger J. Iles, Rosemary L. Iles, Aurora J. Iles; sisters, Suzanne Bristow, Katharine McKnight; sister-in-law, Donnie R. (Jack) Avery; brother-in-law, Donald E. Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene D. and Vivian M. (Heyden) Munson; two baby brothers, Michael and Allen Munson; two brothers-in-law, James O. McKnight, Sr. and Butch Bristow. Visitation is Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 4 -8 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
