Rick Farner

Rick Farner of McHenry, IL, beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, and uncle passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughter October 21,2023 at the young age of 52. Rick battled a failing body for over 10 years. He fought with every ounce of his stubbornness, heart, and grace. But it was his time to rest. Rick loved spending time with his family, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, boating, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears. Rick will greatly be missed by the loves of his life, wife of 20 years Rhiannon and their daughter Katie. He will be missed also by his mother Margaret “Peg” Farner, his siblings Jason (Shannon) Farner, Rachel (Matt) Farner, his mother and father in-law Marla (Dave) Nunes, sisters-in-law Chris (Mike) Blan, Charity (Ryan) Dabney, and many adored aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Richard K. Farner and his maternal and paternal grandparents. From the day Rick found out his battle was starting, he always said “This will not stop us from living!” Please take his words and wisdom to continue to live life to the fullest and the way he would have wanted for all his family and friends. At this time there will be no services. The family plans to hold a celebration of life in the early summer by having Rick’s Last Ride.
