Robert Pfeiffer

Robert E. Pfeiffer, 83, of Wildwood, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Libertyville Manor. He was born on November 22, 1925 in Chicago to the late Herman and Ella (Kotusch) Pfeiffer. On January 2, 1950 in Germany, Robert married Irene A. Paschke. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene Pfeiffer; three children, Claudia Horn of Wadsworth, Dirk (Beth Seger) Pfeiffer of Johnsburg, IL and Tammy (Peter) Gorsline of Salem, WI; brother, Jack Pfeiffer of Wood Dale, IL; sister, Ruth Van Winter of Aurora, IL; grandchildren, Valerie (Aaron Cosgrove) Gorsline, Daniel (Marni) Kaiser, Ryan (Joelle) Gorsline and Kristi Kaiser; great grandchildren, Kylie, Deagan and Sebastian. Robert was an Air Force veteran who served on the Berlin Airlift during WWII, He served on the Woodland School Board for 10 years and was a member of Lake County for 57 years. Robert worked and retired from North Shore Gas Company after more than 20 years of service. He loved animals. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 4-8 pm at Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
