Robert Rehling

Robert William Rehling, 83, of Gurnee passed away on Saturday March 20, 2021. He was born December 15, 1937 in Comstock, MI to William and Thelma Rehling. On August 13, 1963 he married Pok Kim in South Korea. He served in the US Army for twenty years until his retirement in 1980. Robert then worked as a government contractor until 1996 and in loss prevention at the Naval Exchange until 2002.

After retirement, he was an avid mall walker at Gurnee Mills, enjoyed running errands, traveling to Disney and especially spending time with the grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Pok, sons: Daniel (Lou Lane) Rehling, Robert Rehling Jr.; grandchildren: Katie, Nathan, Alexia and Kyle Rehling; 3 sisters: Annabel (John) King, Lois (Clarence) Forrester, Elizabeth (Bernie) Overacker; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, March 26 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee. Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Saturday, March 27 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Warren Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with current State of Illinois Phase 4 regulations, all guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times.  There will be a maximum of 50 people allowed in the funeral home at a time and proper social distancing must be practiced.
