Sharon McClain

Sharon Lee (Wightman) McClain passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at her home with her husband and three children by her side. She was born on July 19, 1937 in Grayslake, Illinois. She attended and graduated Grayslake High School. She then attended Northern Illinois University. She married Dudley G. McClain on September 22, 1956 and was married for fifty-seven years. Sharon last worked for Baxter Laboratories in Round Lake, Illinois but previously worked for B.V.I. in Grayslake for many years. Sharon was a life-long resident of Grayslake, Illinois and enjoyed splitting her retirement years between Grayslake and Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mancel and Mildred Wightman. She is survived by her husband, Dudley McClain; brother, Jack (Patti) Wightman; sister-in-law, Mary (McClain) Alvarado; her three children, Maureen McClain, Mark (Nancy) McClain and Neal (Monica) McClain; grandchildren are Joshua, Daniel, Matthew (Mary), Nicole (Ryan), Christy, and Joshua and eleven great-grandchildren. Sharon was a loving, caring, giving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed and remembered always. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 1pm-2pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. Interment will be private.
