William Gorman

William David Gorman, 49, of Grayslake, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 in Carpentersville. He was born on March 14, 1964 in Mansfield, Ohio. William was a security guard for Glenbrook Security. He enjoyed playing BINGO and cards. He is survived by his loving family; mother, Sylvia Vinnedge of Grayslake; children, William David (Stephanie) Gorman and Cassandra Gorman both of Indiana; fiancé, Maria Varela of Carpentersville; step-son, Christopher Michael Vakela of Round Lake; brothers, Robert Gorman, Jr. (his twin brother) of Grayslake, Terry Gorman of Wonder Lake; step-brother, David (Carrie) Vinnedge of Florida; step-sisters, Pat Tilton of Lake in the Hills, Diane Herrara of CA and Regina Greathouse; step-brother, Chris Greathouse; half-sister, Sherine Gorman of Gurnee; five nieces and two nephews. William was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leroy Gorman, Sr. and his step-father, Robert Vinnedge. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to services from 10am-11am at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 285 E. Washington St., Grayslake with Pastor Kris Ferkin officiating. Interment is private. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Foundation.
